Product Spotlight: Save Those Sippy Cups!

I have been wanting to write about this product for a while now because it has made my life easier since Cody was..... hmmmm, how soon we forget! Either way, it has totally saved me so I really wanted to share! When Cody started learning to drink from a sippy cup, he was a little too young to understand to keep things on his high chair tray, in his stroller, or on the table at the restaurant. What would he do? I will give you one guess?! That's right! He would throw it on the floor! If you know me, or have been reading my posts, you know what a germaphobe I am! I would throw up in my mouth (sorry for the visual!) every time his cup would hit the nasty floor of a restaurant, or the floor at the mall or some other public place. At home, he would drop it on the floor, I pick it up and that game would go on forever!

So... one day I was at babies-r-us and found the most wonderful thing!!!  Booginhead SippiGrip Cup, Bottle and Toy Tether, Orange Grey Stripe! The first thing I thought of was "why didn't I think of that?!" and then "2 please"! One side straps to your child's stroller or high chair and the other to their bottle, sippy cup, and I even used it on his snack cups! You do not know how awesome it was to know that I could attach it to pretty much anything and it would stay put! No hitting of the floor, no germs on the cup spout, no chasing after his snack cup!

Now that he is older, he knows not to throw is cup and (most of the time) does a good job keeping it at the table. I don't use it now like I did before (I didn't leave the house without one in my diaper bag!) but I do keep one strapped to his cup when we are in the car so he doesn't lose it and I don't wreck my car trying to find a  missing cup!

SippiGrip is a great on the go and germ protection product and a lifesaver for any parent tired of playing the cup throwing game.
SippiGrip is durable, washable and has a unique grip material for a strong hold. SippiGrip grips your child's cup, bottle or toy for a secure and safe fit!"

Product Review: Kiddopotamus Placemat

Everyone always asks me about the Kiddopotamus Tinydiner Placemat, Green when they see me using it with Cody. I thought it would be a great post to let all of you know how much I love this product!!! If you know me, it comes as no surprise when I say that I am a germaphobe (is that a word??)!!! What I love most about this mat is that you can suction it to most surfaces and put your little ones food right on it!! No more remembering to bring your sanitizing wipes to clean off the table! This mat is reusable, it folds up super easy so you can fit it in your diaper bag or purse, it has a nice scoop chamber that the food falls in instead of your kids lap! It doesn't get much better than that!

Product Review: Nature's Garden Delivered

We had a coupon code for 50% off to Nature's Garden Delivered on our blog a few weeks ago. Kim and I both signed up and just received our first bin!

My medium bin consisted of:
  • 1 Cantaloupe
  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Mango
  • 2 Avocados
  • Carrots
  • Kale
  • Lettuce
  • Bok Choy
  • Chinese Cabbage
  • Garlic
  • Sweet Peas
  • 5 Kiwi
  • 3 Peaches
  • 3 Tomatoes
Not bad for $22 with my 50% off discount!

I am having mine delivered to my house and Kim is doing a co-op (which is where she picks it up at a location close to her home) and saves 15% off her order. There are many things I love about the company:

  • They deliver overnight so they leave less of a carbon footprint and your produce is not sitting out in the heat all day. It is ready for you to get from your doorstep first thing in the morning!
  • They have essentially no waste. They deliver you produce in a box which you put out for them to pick up when they drop off your next delivery. Any waste from produce they have gets composted.
  • You can customize your box! They have a preference section you fill out when you initially sign up. If you hate tomatoes, for example, you can click that box so you never get tomatoes in your box. Then, they email you the week of your delivery to let you know what will be in your box. If you don't want or need certain items, you can substitute it with other produce that will be in your box that week.
  • You can choose to have your box delivered every week or every other and they have different box sizes to fit your needs.
The only negative thing I can say about the company is that not all the produce you get is local. I was under the impression that it was all from local farms, but some things they can't get local because they want to offer a variety to their customers and certain produce may not be available for multiple reasons. Overall, I had a great experience! Thanks Nature's Garden Delivered

If you are interested in Nature's Garden Delivered and are local to Cincinnati, stay tuned because we will be offering another 50% coupon code to your readers in the near future!
